Out riding with a mate in the weekend on his new Street Fighter S, at 135 kms his fuel light came on, and leaving him aprox 4 litres left, id used less than 1/2 a tank, range was still 160kms. i was looking at getting 280-300 kms from 16 litres, he's would be lucky to get 180-200 max. This is on a 2014 KTM 1290 Superduke. Symptom was loss of power at higher RPMs and throttle. When air temperature was high (~80F, sunny) I experienced GREAT loss of power – bike would bog or stall beyond 1/4th throttle or RPMs past 4k or so. Service manual good pressure range is between 55 and 61 psi. On the Cycle World dyno, the Super Adventure R produced 132.3 hp at 9,200 rpm and 87.5 pound-feet at 7,000 rpm at the rear tire. Joined: Feb 21, 2013. Oddometer: 650. Location: Texas Hill Country. Directions for the install are for a 1290 Super Duke R not an Adventure R so I have a few questions. Directions state: “Pull the throttle grip and accelerator position sensor from the handlebar.”. The grip came off but nothing was attached to the grip or loose in the housing.
