After reading through this thread I tried connecting my HRM pro to my wife’s iPad and it worked fine. I’ve been using my HRM pro on my iPhone for months and it suddenly doesn’t work. What’s going on? Heart Rate Monitoring stopped working. Indrajeet over 4 years ago. Garmin 245 is barely one month old and since yesterday HR monitor has stopped working. In HR widget, I see only three dash instead of reading ---. I have checked all settings- HR recording is on. Activity tracking is on. I switched these on/off to see if this revives HR. No result.

All - Had the same issue where my Garmin HRM-DUAL was working fine for months and then mysteriously stopped presenting the BPM # on the device (ZWIFT, WAHOO, etc…). Did everything folks are sharing and the only solution is to reset the device to factory settings (iphone/ipad/etc.) and start from scratch - yes, reinstall ALL your apps.

Nov 12, 17 8:57. Post #6 of 7 (13366 views) I had the same issue on several straps but solved it. Put on the heart rate monitor strap. Go into settings on the receiving unit. scroll down to heart rate. Your unit has to reconnect again with HRM. Of course this will only work if you have good batteries.

It also seems that even when the heart rate monitor is "functioning" the stress and body battery readings are completely thrown off. I have invested a lot in garmin over the years, but I am very disappointed with this current lack of performance. Please help, before I am forced to start exploring the world beyond Garmin!

HRM-Tri just stopped working. Hi all, I’ve had the chest strap for less than a year and suddenly it just stopped working. I changed the battery as I assumed it was that, but it is still not working. I noticed a little brown (rust?) spot under the battery right by the green board (?) and suspect something internally crapped out.
