The flashing glow plug light is a common fault on diesel Jags between 2003 - 2007. The fault is caused by the electronic turbo actuator. Take a look at the following link for a much much cheaper alternative to changing the turbo.

Hi Jes. Yes checking the Dipstick is a nightmare, the way Cubist mentioned is probably the best way off checking the Dipstick. As you mentioned about having a Diesel Particulate filter, i hope you have used a Low Ash C1 Oil WSS M2C 934B this number is not mentioned in the x type Handbook and Jaguar couldn't advise me on the Oil needed to use with an engine with a DPFILTER.

Hi Guys. I have that feeling that my transmission might be low on Oil. Gear shifts are okay but not as smooth as it should be. I have a 2.2 diesel X Type 6 speed manual.
